Northamptonshire is in the very heart of England and offers something for everyone who visits or lives here.
Step into the traditional rural lifestyle typified by Northamptonshire’s numerous pretty villages with their thatched cottages, country lanes and parish churches. Easily accessible from London (1 hour Marylebone to Banbury) it is the perfect place for a complete change of scenery for a long weekend. Within close reach of Astwell Mill are many National trust properties, including Canons Ashby House, Stowe Gardens, Coton Manor, Claydon House and Waddesdon Manor. Blenheim Palace, Stoke Bruene, Bletchley Park, Towcester Racecourse, Sulgrave Manor and Oxford are also nearby for super days out. For the shoppers there is Bicester Village Retail Outlet which is ever popular with many of our guests. South Northamptonshire also holds the accolade of Silverstone being the home to Formula 1, hosting the British Grand Prix, Classic Cars, MOTO GP and many other events annually. If you prefer the active country life, there are plenty of walks and cycle rides to suit all abilities. We can provide routes which wind round many quiet and beautiful villages where it is possible to stop at a pub to have a drink or meal and meet the friendly locals. A pub can be found in most villages local to us, including the Crown at Weston our local Gastro Pub, recommended recently by William Sitwell in the Daily Telegraph and Tom Parker Bowles in the Mail on Sunday. Nestled in the small village of Weston it can be found just 4 miles away by road, or 2 miles to walk to along a beautiful footpath with scenic views.
We were staying here for three nights over the Moto GP weekend, the location was beautiful overlooking a mill pond it was quiet,
which was just what we wanted and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable and breakfast super.
Would recommend and would visit again without a doubt.
